Denise J. Wilson – May 5, 2015

Denise J. Wilson, 44, of St. Marys, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her residence.

Memorial services will be held on Monday evening, May 11, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the Woodbine Church of God.

Barbara Ann McCrory – May 6, 2015

Barbara A. McCrory, 83, of St. Marys, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 6, 2015.
Mrs. McCrory was born October 26, 1931 in Charleston, SC, and was the daughter of the late Ted and Eula Edge Beaudrot.
Mrs. McCrory and her husband Edward, had resided in Pensacola, Florida for 20 years and was in the moving business.  They moved to Mt. Dora for 14 years, and upon retirement moved back to Pensacola, FL.  In 2008 they moved to St. Marys, GA, and attended St. Marys United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed, cooking, reading, traveling, and was a loving wife and mother.  She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband, Edward L. McCrory of St. Marys, GA; step-daughter, Katherine L. McCrory of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Betty Baron (Phil) of Roseville, CA; two nieces, Julie Evand (Dave) and Terri Fuller (Dennis); nephew, Michael Baron (Dawn) and cousin, John M. Edge (Jeri).
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 2:00 pm, at St. Marys United Methodist Church in St. Marys, GA, with Pastor Tom Jones officiating.
The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Barbara A. McCrory be made to  the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or to ASPCA, 424 East 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128-6804.

Phyllis G. Kent – May 5, 2015

Phyllis G. Kent, 93, of St. Marys passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.
Services will be held later at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Garden of the Resurrection Columbarium in Ormond Beach, Florida

Emmett Taylor Boyd – May 4, 2015

Emmett Taylor Boyd, 91, of Woodbine, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Florida.
Mr. Boyd was born in Rome Community at Athens, Texas on May 22, 1923, to the late Charles R. And Carrie Pearl Stone Boyd.  He was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Dewey, Hubert, Grover, J.P., and three sisters, Thelma, Lucille, Dora, and his first wife, Marjorie Higgins Boyd.  He was the last survivor of his family.
At age 16, after graduation from High School, he entered the United States Army.  After retirement from the Army he settled in Glynn and Camden County, Georgia, where he chose a career in Banking.  During WWII, he made the Normandy invasion at Utah Beach as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant.  He was a member of the Company “K” 358th Infantry Division.  In July 1944 his Division re-assigned from the First Army to Patton’s Third Army.  He fought through France, into Germany, them Luxembourg, Belgium, and back into Germany again.  Mr. Boyd was seriously wounded during the Battle of the Bulge on January 31st, 1945.  He received a Battle Field Commission, after being wounded and was unable to serve as an Infantry Officer.  His commission was transferred to the Finance Corps. He also later served a tour in South Korea as a Finance Officer.  He retired as a Captain in the Finance Corps in October 1959.
Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Boyd; son and daughter in law, Charles E and Lisa Boyd, and very special granddaughter, Mary Margaret (Maggie) Boyd; two step-sons, Jimmy and Christie Foddrell and Kevin Foddrell, step-daughter, Betty Ruth and Robert Williams; four grandchildren, Jamie and Jordan Foddrell, Kristin and Alex Williams; 2 great granddaughters, Gemma and Stella Tanner, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 5 pm until 7 pm at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015, at 1 pm at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Folkston with Fr. Mariusz Fuks officiating.  Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery with full Military Honors at a later date.

John S. Stone – May 4, 2015

John S. Stone, 85, of Kingsland, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.

Born February 7, 1930, in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy Waters Stone.

Mr. Stone had resided in Camden County since 2003.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country honorably during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Wakan-Hubbard Masonic Lodge #0154 of Penfield, NY, and a member of the Starlight Chapter OES of Spencercourt, NY.  He was an English car collector as well as being known for his dry sense of humor.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday evening, May 8, 2015 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys from 5 to 7 pm.

Survivors include his wife, Gail P. Stone of Kingsland; children, Cheryl and Bryan Lamb of MN, Craig and Kimberly Stone of Melbourne, FL, Caryl Stone of Fostoria, OH, Clifford Stone of Rochester, NY, and Cindy and Steven Dir of Woodbine; grandchildren, Christen Stone, Alexandra (Mickey) Katz, James Vary, Dakota (Cody) Dir, Caryl-Lynn Stone, Zackery Stone, Nicholas Stone, Jeremiah (Jake) Dir, David Dir, Sarah Stone and Willow Jordan; great grandchild, Jaxon Katz.

The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Mr. John Stone be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Michael A. Lena – May 3, 2015

Michael A. Lena, 70, of St. Marys, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.

Funeral services and a complete list of survivors will be forthcoming.

James Francis Kehoe – April 29, 2015

James F. Kehoe, 89, of St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.
Born January 19, 1926, he was the son of the late James and Rhoda Butler Kehoe.  He was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country honorably during WWII, and was of the Catholic faith.  He enjoyed golf, reading, and Yankee’s baseball.  Above all he loved his wife and family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11 am at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys, with Pastor Rob Goyette officiating.  Interment to follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 pm with Military Honors.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Kehoe of St. Marys; three sons, Brian Kehoe (Kathy) of Yorktown Heights, NY, Jimmy Kehoe (Maria) of St. Marys, and Chris Kehoe (Eva) of Hauppauge, NY; two grandchildren, Michael Kehoe and Valerie Kehoe.
