Linda S. Horn – July 8, 2015

Linda S. Horn, 68, of Kingsland passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at her residence.

Born January 20, 1947, in Fernandina Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Louise Youngblood Estes.

Linda had resided in Camden County since 1964.  She was retired from Camden Office Supply with 40 years of service, and the past 8 years had been employed at the Kingsland Welcome Center. Linda was a caring individual, always taking care of and worrying about  her family and friends.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Horn of Kingsland; son and daughter in law, Timothy and Gerry Harris of Kingsland; daughter, Jessica Horn of Houston, TX; brother and sister in law, Charles and Carol Estes of Yulee, FL; sister, Floy Sullivan of Anna, IL; four grandchildren, Patricia Sanders (Guy), Christina Tillman-Bean, Stephanie Sizemore (Jordan), and Mathew Mork (Kelsey); eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2 pm from the Restoration Church in Kingsland with Pastor Gregg Gardell and Pastor Jordan Sizemore officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland.  The family will receive friends at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys on Friday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Pallbearers: Keith Post, Jim Proctor, Jerry Sizemore, Terry Smith, Kenneth Smith and Lee Spell.  Honorary: City of Kingsland Staff and Employees of CVB, Welcome Center, Fire and Rescue, Police Department, Public Works and City Hall.

The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Linda, be made to the Restoration Church, building fund or American Cancer Association.

Marian Ruth Adams – July 8, 2015

Marian R. Adams, 69, of St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Born May 26, 1946 in Culver City CA, she was the daughter of the late Albert And Mildred Mariner Perry.

Mrs. Adams had been a resident of Camden County since 1988, and was retired from General Dynamics.  She was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #8385 auxiliary, was a breast cancer survivor and a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Cindy and Jamie Mitchell of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Jeff Adams of Lakeland, FL; brother, Roger Perry of Sacramento, CA; three grandchildren, Sydney Mitchell, Justene Mitchell, and J.J. Adams; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11 am from Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys with Pastor Steve Curtis officiating.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

A reception for family and friends will be held at the V.F.W. Post 8385, 150 N. Camden Woods Parkway, Kingsland, GA 31548, immediately following the services.

Fern Adelia Frank – July 4, 2015

Fern Adelia Frank, 91, of St. Marys, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2015.

Fern was born in Woodhaven, N.Y., to Lawrence and Adelaide Rung Canning on Sept. 19, 1923. She attended boarding school in Elmont, N.Y., and graduated from Bishop McDonnell High School.Fern lived in Charleston for 50-plus years. She was active in Sacred Heart Catholic Church guilds and Catholic Daughters of America where she served as grand regent.

Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Frank; parents; Lawrence and Adelaide Canning; one brother, Edward Canning; and one sister, Mildred McDermott.

Fern is survived by her son, Raymond L. Frank (Nancy); daughter, Kathie Frank Wilson (Mike); her grandchildren, Christopher Frank, Allison Shagovac (Rich), Ryan Frank (Colleen) and Kristen Ruhlin (Rob Margolies); and great-grandchildren, Cody Shagovac, Skylar Shagovac, Will Shagovac, Alex Shagovac and Bastian Margolies.

There will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in St. Marys, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 10 am with Fr. Mariusz Fuk officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Heartland Hospice, 664 Scranton Road, Unit 103, Brunswick, GA 31520; Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 106 E. Dillingham St., St. Marys, GA 31558; or the local animal shelter. The Frank family would like to thank and acknowledge the following individuals who assisted in caring for Fern during her decline in health: Pam Blocker and Aubrey Beard with Heartland Hospice; Mary Berg, Catherine Ascher and Olivia Ingerson of Visiting Angels (Brunswick); Father Mariusz Fuk, pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea; and Jocelyn Melchor.
