Susan Gayle Feller Sagman – April 9, 2019

Susan Gayle Feller Sagman, 56, of Kingsland passed away on April 9, 2019 at her residence.

Susan was born May 2, 1962 in Bronx, New York.  She had moved to Kingsland three years ago to be close to her family.  She worked in the medical field for years and was a Disc Jockey and talent promoter.  Susan had a music blog on the internet and supported people around the world with her music and encouragement.

Survivors include her father and step-mother, Sanford and Marianne Feller of St. Marys; mother, Roberta Weiner Goldstein of Tamarac, FL; brother, Jeffrey Feller of NJ, and Oreo her service dog who was her constant companion.

A memorial mass was held Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 11:00 am with Father Mariusz officiating.

Jessee Alan Eason – April 7, 2019

J. Alan Eason 52, of Woodbine, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden.

Alan was born August 13, 1966 in Brunswick, GA.  He was a graduate of Camden County High School and Valdosta State University.  Alan loved his family and spending time outdoors.  He was a kind man with a heart of gold.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Three Rivers Church, 101 Miller Street, St. Marys, GA 31558, at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior to service time at 10:00 am.  Pastor Mike Roddy and Pastor Brian Parker will be officiating.  Graveside services to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Pallbearers:  Mark Giddens, Travis Horne, Glenn Keene, Kevin Smith, Marty Gillette, Terrance Davis, Jason Intravia, Chad George, Willard Turner, Jacques Morris, Russell Roberson, Wayne Peeples, and Tony Sheppard.  Honorary:  Paulk Timber and J and K Farms.

Survivors include his wife, Angela M. Eason; daughter, Kaylee Eason, son, Jakeb Eason, daughter, Delaney Metts; parents, Jessee T. and Barbara F. Eason; sister, Tina (Marshall) Boyd; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Barbara Joan Motte Barnes – April 4, 2019

Barbara Joan Motte Barnes passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Georgia. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina on July 29, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Buddy” Barnes and her precious young daughter Kathy Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her parents: C.E. and Frances Motte, Winnie and Kelly Turner; and two brothers: Calvin and Van Motte.

She is survived by her twin sister: Jean Price, brothers: Bill Motte, Chris Motte and Dale Motte.

She is also survived by her children: Mike (Tami) Barnes, Doug (Debbie) Barnes, Jody Barnes and Kim (Greg) Larkin; grandchildren: Megan (David) Caison, Blair (Steven) Bota, Danielle Murgic, Brittany Barnes, Carson Barnes, Gabe Larkin, Whitney Larkin and Tyler Larkin.

She was a loving grandmother to 7 great grandchildren and a loving Aunt Joan to many nieces and nephews.

She was retired from the Camden County Board of Education. She loved her work as a paraprofessional and loved telling stories of the many wonderful children she was able to work with through the years.  She also loved working in the yard, singing in the choir at her church and giving to and doing for others.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7th at First Baptist Church in St Marys, Georgia from 2:00-3:00 pm. Funeral will follow at same location at 3:30 pm with Pastor Bobby Woods officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, St Marys, Georgia.

Fredrick Mastin, Jr. – April 2, 2019

Fredrick Mastin, Jr., 80, of St. Marys passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at UF Health Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL.

Memorial services were held Monday, April 8, 2019, at 11:00 am at Kings Bay Chapel, Kings Bay Naval Sub Base, with military honors.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

Lalitaben Patel – April 1, 2019

 

Lalitaben V. Patel, 85, of Kingsland, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Patel was born in Panatha, India on October 2, 1933.  She was the daughter of the late Hirabhai and Gangaben Patel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 11:00 am at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys.

Robert Wainwright – April 1, 2019

Robert Justin Wainright, 27, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019.

Justin was born June 11, 1991 in Jacksonville, FL, and was a life long resident of Camden County.  He was a 2009 graduate of Camden County High, and was on the Wrestling Team.  He enjoyed fishing and music.

Survivors include his parents, Robyn Jowers Wainright of St. Marys, and Lamar Wainright (Donna) of Tallahassee, FL; son, Robert Jackson Wainright of Illinois; twin sister, Jessica Foster (Steven) of St. Marys; two brothers, Marc Wainright (Shannon) of Kingsland and Chris Wainright of Camden County.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys with Chaplain Kenneth Long officiating.

Barbara A. Zukoff – March 23, 2019

Barbara A. Zukoff, 58, of St. Marys passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Southeast Georgia Medical Center, Camden.

Born March 7, 1961 in Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late Carol Hunter and James L. Craighead, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Zukoff and sister, Mamie Brower.

Mrs. Zukoff had been a resident of St. Marys since 1991, and married the love of her life, the late John Zukoff in l985.  She was a proud Navy wife and mother, devoting her life to her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Helen Morris (James) of South Korea, and Anthony Zukoff of Holcomb, KS; siblings, John Craighead, Jamie Spivey, and James Craighead, Jr; grandchildren, Tyler Morris, and Helayna Morris; several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
