Pecola E. Myers, 83, of St. Marys passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Born November 7, 1933 in Dublin, GA, she was the daughter of the late Johnny L. and Mae Bell Williams McClendon. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Myers
Mrs. Myers had been a resident of Camden County for over 60 years, and was a teacher with the Charlton County and Camden County School Systems for over 40 years, also to include the Ralph Bunch High School.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Rev. William E. Myers; children, Russell Myers, Rhonda (Fred) Reed, Sean (Felecia) Myers, William A. (Billy) Myers, Rossonna (Mario) Juarez, Corey (Mandy) Myers, Karen Scott, Dale (Jenay) Myers, and Latoya (Nicholas) Whitbeck; brother, Johnny (Lana) McClendon; sister, Lois (Shelli) Stroman; 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 12:00 noon, at the First African Baptist Church in St. Marys.
