Michael L. Courtney, 63, of Kingsland, GA., passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his residence.
Michael was born September 18, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas, and had resided in Camden County since 2001. He use to drag race, building his own race cars, and was an accomplished machinist and fabricator. He had a love for corvette’s and Harley Davidson motorcycles, and was a metal artist.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys, and services to follow at the graveside at Brazell Cemetery at 12:30 pm., with Rev James Clendinen officiating.
Pallbearers: Roy Versele, Bobby Dinkins, John Anderson, Brian Armstrong, Gael Brewbaker, and Charles Dumont.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Courtney of Kingsland, GA; mother, Patricia A. Courtney of Kingsland, GA; daughter, Kristin McCallister of Fort Walton Beach, FL; step-children, Joanne Armstrong (Brian) of Marietta, GA, and Donald Kramer (Patricia) of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Cameron McCallister, Kylianne Courtney, Mitchell Kramer, Taylor Kramer, Justin Armstrong, and Jacob Armstrong; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Courtney and two brothers, Nathan Earl Courtney and Douglas Lee Courtney.
