Cecilia Agnes Spangler – July 2, 2017

Cecilia Agnes Spangler, 83, of Kingsland, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born August 8, 1933 in Peabody, Mass., she was the daughter of the late John and Cecelia LaFreniere.  She was also predeceased in death by her husband Martin Spangler.
Mrs. Spangler had been a resident of Camden County since 1957, and had been employed with Gilman Hospital as Purchasing agent for 14 years.  She was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving during the Korean Conflict.  Mrs. Spangler was a past president of the Gilman Hospital Auxiliary, and member of Christ Episcopal Church, also serving as past president of Women of Christ Episcopal.
Survivors include her three sons, John Spangler (Jan) of Kingsland, Luke Spangler (Debbie) of St. Marys, and Matthew Spangler of Moseley, VA; brother, Charles LaFreniere (Sylvia) of Zephyrhills, FL; five grandchildren, Sean, Bobby, Casey, Jeffrey, and LeeAnn, nine great grandchildren
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Allison Memorial Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, with the Rev. Dedre Bell officiating.
Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.

    Rest in peace. Will miss talking to you and seeing you on facebook. We all know that you are in a better place, you have gone to see Uncle Martin, Mom and Dad, Aunt Corinne, Uncle Russ, Aunt Ruthie, Aunt Louise, Uncle John, Nana and Gramp LaFreniere (Celia and John) Last but not forgotten my husband Jay.
