Grace C. Baird, 90, of Woodbine, passed away peacefully at her residence with her family at her bedside, on Thursday evening, July 24, 2014.
Born August 4, 1923 in Calumet, MI, she was the daughter of the late Socrates and Emma Antioho. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Baird and sister, Theodora Davis.
Mrs. Baird had resided in Camden County for the past 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, baking, loved playing bridge, and was an avid traveler and Atlanta Braves fan. Mrs. Baird loved her family and everyone she knew. She attended Woodbine United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 4 pm at the Woodbine United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Dent and Rev. Jack McCollough officiating. Interment will follow at Homeward Cemetery in Waverly.
The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Woodbine United Methodist Church Social Hall from 2 pm to 3:30 pm prior to services. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Simmons (Charles) of Orlando, FL, Cynthia Delano (Ray) of Flint, MI, and Karen Berdan of Rochester Hills, MI; three sons, Richard Baird (Debbie) of Woodbine, James A. Baird of Newcastle, DE, and Robert T. Baird (Kim) of Woodbine; two brothers, Thomas Antioho (Trudy) of Ortonville, MI, and Robert Antioho (Gertie) of Calumet, MI; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
