Thomas M. Granahan – December 3, 2017

Thomas M. Granahan, 66, of St. Marys passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Born January 9, 1951 in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Patrick and Margaret Granahan.
Thomas graduated from Brian McMann High School in Norwalk, CT, and Norwalk Community College with a degree in General Business.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and served six years as a Sergeant in the USAF Reserve doing his active training at Westover Air Force Base in Westover, MA.  He worked for Terminex International in Norwalk, CT until his move to Broward County, FL in 1976, and graduated from Atlantic Vocational Technical School Nursing Program.  During his nursing career he did extensive work in the Prison Health System from FL to CT to GA. Prior to retiring he worked for Southeast Georgia Health System at both McIntosh Family Care Center and later in the Department of Health Promotion, and Wellness.  He was an active member of the Numismatic Society as well as the NRA.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 11:00 am with Fr. Chris Ortega presiding.  The family will receive friends at the church hall immediately following the services.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Cecelia Granahan of St. Marys; his four legged daughter Annie; brother, Patrick Granahan of NC; sister, Margaret Bosich of MO; nephew, Matthew Granahan of SC; niece, Lauren Granahan of NY; two sisters in law,Evelyn Baroni and Sally Aspero.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to an animal shelter of your choice or the Nunnally House, 3215 Kemble Ave., Brunswick, GA 31520.
