Lorna Sheeran Gant – December 4, 2017

Lorna Sheeran Gant passed to join her Lord and God on 4 December 2017 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Lorna was born on 29 July 1942 in Pawtucket Rhode Island the daughter of Charles and Anne Sheeran who preceded Lorna in death as well as her brother Rick Sheeran.

Lorna is survived by her loving husband Jim Gant and two wonderful sons Christopher James Gant and Bryan Charles Gant and two grandchildren Dominique and Sebastian Gant.

Lorna and her family arrived in St Marys in 1982 after many exciting years as a Navy wife which included travel throughout the world. Although not expecting to remain, she and her husband fell in love with St Marys and made St Marys their permanent home.

Lorna became a real estate agent eventually achieving Gold Life Member in the Distinguished Performance Club. Lorna also served as past president of the Camden/Charlton Board of Realtors and became very well known as a friendly, knowledgeable, helpful real estate professional.

Lorna is a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served on several occasions in a leadership role as an elder in the church.

Many that knew Lorna will remember her smart, witty sense of humor, her caring personality and her talent for baking yummy delights.

Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 10:00 A.M. on 9 December 2017, followed by a private gravesite ceremony for the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the Alzheimer’s association in Lorna’s name.

Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
