John R. Culp, Sr., 63, of Kingsland passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Glynn.
John was born April 9, 1954 in Elmira, NY. He had been a resident of Camden County since 1992, and was retired from the United States Navy with 20 years of service, and served his country honorably during the Vietnam Era. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday February 3, 2018 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 4:00 pm at the VFW Post 8385 in Kingsland with full military honors. The family will receive friends following the ceremony.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Culp of Kingsland; daughter, Jeweleen Mitchell (Jerry) of Islandton, SC; sons, John Culp, Jr. of Nome, Alaska and Jerome Culp (Heather) of North Pole, Alaska; Step-brother, Rex Culp of Seattle, WA; step children, Amber Boris (Travis) of Davenport, NY and Raymond Boris of Kingsland; 7 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters.
Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
