Warren Lee Brazell, 78, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Agape Rehabilitation of Conway, SC.
Born on March 14, 1936, in Jacksonville, FL, he was a son of the late John Brazell and the late Bessie Gay Brazell. Mr. Brazell was a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict and was employed by The Ice House in Georgetown for more than 20 years where he was known as the “Hot Dog Man “. He was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church as well as a former Mason. Mr. Brazell enjoyed fishing, cooking and feeding the poor. He enjoyed spending Christmas with his grandchildren, making people happy and above all else he loved the Lord.
Survivors include four children, Patricia B. Gunter (Glen) of Georgetown, Amanda B. Godwin (Joey) of Johnsonville, Vicky B. Benton (Mickey) of Pawleys Island and Tammy B. Majid of Johnsonville; 10 grandchildren, Chad Brazell, Austin Gunter, Danielle L. Blew, Katrina Benton-Donham, Brittany Benton, Charity Benton, Preston Benton, Alexis Benton, Kennedy Majid and Savannah-Rose Waugh; two great grandchildren, Chase Brazell and Chance Brazell; one sister, Eunice Price of Georgetown; one brother, Charles Brazell of Kingsland, GA; previous wife, JoAnn Taylor Hughes of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Graham Funeral Home in Georgetown, SC.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, August 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church Chapel of Kingsland with Dr. Mickey Benton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services at 11 am. Burial to follow in the Brazell Cemetery in Kingsland, GA.
