Some know us….Some do not….But Submarine Sailors ~~ “Tried, Tested, and Qualified” are a close bunch of Merry Renegades….But this phrase from Shakespeare says it best….

“He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart.
But we in it, shall be remembered.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!!!
For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.”

RIP brave sailor, you have not been forgotten.

Freeman was a crew member of the USS Nathanael Greene in the 80s. As reunion association president, I’ve posted his obit on our facebook pages. Many shipmates have submitted condolences to the family and saluted a shipmate that has crossed the bar commencing his Eternal Patrol. His name has been added to our Eternal Patrol Roster where it will be remembered at every reunion of the 636. To the Finkel family, a sailor’s blessing:
    Fair Winds and Following Seas.
    To Freeman Finkel:
Sailor, rest your oar. Your work here is done and your shipmates have the watch.
