James Miller – June 8, 2019

James “Jim” Miller, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 8th 2019 in Kingsland, Georgia, at the age of 58.

He is survived by so many who loved him, including his wife of 35 years, Constance “Connie” Miller; his sons, Dr. Matthew J. Miller (Dr. Anna Huguenard), Andrew W. Miller and Graham C. Miller. His brothers Peter Miller (Annie), Paul Miller (Lesley), Michael Miller (Angela), and sisters Margaret A. Miller (Mark Kelly) and Julie Barr (Jake) and several nieces and many nephews.

Jim was born in Irvine, Scotland on December 24, 1960. He was the eldest son of the late William and Elizabeth Miller.

Jim was a Master Carpenter for 36 years and his building career spanned across the United Kingdom and the United States (Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida). Jim provided mentorship and career advice to countless tradesmen throughout his career, always willing to share his experience or lend a helping hand to those who needed it.

Jim grew up with an avid love for the beautiful game, football (soccer). He was a lifelong player and a dedicated coach to his three sons’ youth football teams. In doing so, Jim also mentored many kids and teammates throughout the years.

Jim was a devoted and loving husband and father, and he will be greatly missed. He took pride in his work and volunteered his time, whether it was an organized mission trip or a simple door repair. He cultivated friendships and family bonds with enthusiasm, was always a good listener, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Many people have been touched by Jim’s generosity and kindness, and in those relationships, his memory will remain.

A memorial service will be held on Friday June 14th at 6pm at Allison Memorial, in St. Marys, Georgia.
