Kathleen Coleman, 52, of St. Marys, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at her residence.
Kathy was born on August 6, 1962 in Hartford, CT, and had resided in Camden County for over 20 years. She was very active with the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Newington, CT, where she provided hospitality for the WWII veterans every Sunday for many years. She was a long time supporter of the Viet Nam Vets/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club, and extremely involved in fund raisers and charity events. She was of the Catholic faith.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys from 5 pm to 7 pm. Interment will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, in Bloomfield, CT.
A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held locally on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 2 pm, at the Viet Nam Vets/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club, 131 W. Hilton Avenue, Kingsland, GA, with a reception immediately following the services.
Survivors include her companion of 15 years, John “Yank” Morvan of St. Marys; parents, Timothy and Maureen Coleman of Windsor, CT. brothers, Timothy Coleman (Bernadette) of Windsor, CT, Kevin Coleman (Annette) of Avon, CT, Joseph Coleman (Linda) of Somers, CT, and Michael Coleman of Hartford, CT; several nieces and nephews.
Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
