James E. Moore, 77, of St. Marys, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.
Born November 11, 1937 in Waycross, Georgia, he was the son of the late Herman and Janie Bagley Moore. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Moore, Roy Moore, and Ronnie Moore.
Jimmy, also known to others as “Greasy”, had resided in Camden County since 1961, and had been employed at Gilman Paper Company for 42 years. He enjoyed gospel music, working in his vegetable garden and most of all he loved his family.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11 am at Allison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Kegley officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Taylor Moore of St. Marys; son and daughter in law, Greg and Christina Moore, and daughter, Dena Hutto, all of St. Marys; brother, Harold Moore of Brunswick; grandchildren, Jennifer, Cody, Jacob, Cassidy, Evan, and Amirah.
Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home in St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
