Needham Arnold Barlow, Jr. – June 20, 2015

Needham Arnold Barlow, Jr., 88, of Kingsland passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.

Born April 12, 1927 in DuPont, Georgia, he was the son of the late Needham A, Barlow, Sr. and the late Brunell Bashlor Barlow.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Colleen Barlow, Cleo Barlow and Helen Barlow Nall, and brother, Winston Barlow.

Mr. Barlow was a life long resident of Camden County, and was retired from Gilman Paper Company with 43 years of service.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsland, and also attended the Kingsland United Methodist Church.

Mr. Barlow was a member of the Camden Masonic Lodge #476 F&AM for 64 years, and served as Past Worshipful Master in 1962.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country honorably during WWII.  He was an avid follower and supporter of the Camden County Wildcat Football team for over 35 years.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10: 00 am, at the Kingsland United Methodist Church Sanctuary, with Rev. Devin Schultz officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, with full Masonic Rites.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Annette Barlow of Kingsland; three children, James Michael Barlow (Margie) and Melissa Lanier (Steve), all of Kingsland, and Bradley Barlow (Karen) of Douglas; two brothers, James E. Barlow (Mary Edwina) of Marietta, and W. Edward Barlow (Dorinda) of Kingsland; grandchildren, Sara Theriault, Christopher Theriault, Kala Gombaski, Andrew Gombaski, Jr., Royce Michael Barlow, Zachary Barlow, Kyle Barlow, Harrison Barlow, and several nieces and nephews.

Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.

    I’m so sorry for your loss. I had great admiration for Uncle NA! He was a rock in the family and will be greatly missed. Surely, he and daddy are catching up now that they are both in heaven.
